Never-ending Paperwork!
December 2006
We gathered all the paperwork needed to begin our Home Study (a series of 3 interviews of 2 hours each) in a little over a month. We were able to complete our Home Study interviews in 4 weeks around the middle of December.
After our Home Study was completed we were able to apply for the oh-so-very important I-600A, which is "A request to adopt an orphan." This form "officially" puts us in the "process of adopting" category and will most likely guarantee that our adoption will be completed if Guatemala decides to shut down U.S. adoptions.
