We Finally Got Pre-Approval!!
Sunday, August 19, 2007
After a long and agonizing 65 days, we finally received Pre-Approval today!! That means that our case has been approved by the US Embassy in Guatemala. Our next and final step is PGN (which stands for Procuridad General Nacional and is the equivalent to our Attorney General). This last step is when our case is "scrutinized" by the Guatemalan government. Our agency said that the cases that our attorney handles usually take between 6-8 weeks to get through PGN. Let's hope that it's the short end of that time slot. We're still hoping and praying that we can bring Cristina Elizabeth home by Thanksgiving. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
