What's New with Us??!!

It has been 3 months since we last posted and alot has gone on since then with our little princess, Cristina. She has developed so many cute mannerisms and habits that make us smile and laugh everyday. We just look at her and think how lucky we are to have such a wonderful baby! She hardly ever cries and almost always is smiling. We have taught her some sign language and it has helped us out tremendously. She knows how to sign 'milk' and 'more'. These 2 signs have been so incredibly useful. We know when she is thirsty and when she wants more to eat. She also shakes her head when she doesn't want anymore food.
I have been talking to her in English and in Spanish so eventually she can be bilingual. I know that she knows the difference when I speak to her in Spanish. She looks at me and responds to me differently when I speak in Spanish. She undertands when I ask her "Te gusta?" (Do you like it?) and she'll nod her head. This also helps when she is eating and lets us know if she likes what we are feeding her.
I also ask her "Quieres mas?" (Do you want more?) and she'll sign 'more' or shake her head. She also will give us kisses when we say "Dame un beso" (Give me a kiss).
She can stand up on her own and is able to walk with the help of the wall and anything else that she can hold onto. She has been able to take about 5 steps on her own and keeps on trying to walk more and more. She is so motivated and doesn't give up very easily.
Her birthday was April 23rd and she was baptized on April 27th. We had a party to celebrate her birthday and baptism on Sunday, April 27th. We invited everybody who had helped in some way in bringing her home to thank them. We had many people to thank so it was a pretty big party. We had so much support with our adoption that we needed to show our appreciation to all those who helped.
