We were notified yesterday (through the Young Republicans) that Gov. Sarah Palin was coming to Omaha and they needed volunteers. What an awesome opportunity and we were so excited!! They said that anybody who wanted to volunteer was to meet at the Qwest Center at 2:00 for the volunteer meeting and to get our "assignment". We were told that they wanted diversity represented up on the stage/platform behind Sarah Palin so we were "chosen" to stand up on the stage. We were so lucky to be so close to her and be able to shake her hand! Even though we stood on that stage for over 4 hours, it was so incredibly exciting!! So many friends (and strangers) have come up to us and mentioned that they saw us on t.v. It's pretty neat to be seen on t.v. "with" Sarah Palin!
