We got "the call" this morning at 8:40 A.M. She was born on April 23, 2007. She weighed 6.11 pounds and was 51 1/2 centimeters long. Her Guatemalan birth name is Cristina Elizabeth. The Hispanic form of Christina is without an "h". Now talk about divine intervention!! We have always talked about naming our child Maria Christina after my sister (named Christina Maria) who passed away several years ago. Now we have to decide if we want/need to add Maria to the front of her name or just keep her name as it is. What are the chances of this happening!!!! It was meant to be!! Now we have to wait another 6-9 months to be able to bring her home. There are a lot more "steps" that we have to take before bringing her home like POA, DNA tests, Embassy letter, Family Court and PGN (the equivalent to the Secretary of State) who has the final say. So we're hoping that we will have a wonderful Christmas gift!!
